Boku Ramen
₹ Budget
A small street-side ramen shop in the French Quarter with three proper broths and the kind of bowl that surprises you in a city not known for Japanese food.
Boku Ramen is a short-menu, no-frills operation that takes its ramen seriously. Three broths: shoyu (soy-based), miso, and paitan (rich chicken bone). Each comes with toppings chosen at the counter.
The shoyu chicken ramen is the one to order: a clean, salty broth with perfectly cooked noodles, enoki mushrooms, and fresh vegetables. Vegan and vegetarian broth options are available and well-made.
In a city full of rice and curry, a bowl of good ramen at a street-side price is a welcome surprise.
Must Order
- Shoyu chicken ramen
- Miso ramen (vegetarian)
Tip: Small space, limited seating. Go at off-peak hours if you want a table.
